The design team at HOVER is growing and evolving. We are looking for a Staff Product Designer to lead the end-to-end experience of connecting homeowners and professionals together to make their home dreams come true. This is an opportunity to revolutionize the home improvement market by building scalable solutions that put homeowners in the driver's seat and enable professionals to build strong relationships with them.

How you’ll succeed

As a staff designer you will focus relentlessly on refining your understanding of customer needs, as you craft an experience to meet those needs. This is a highly collaborative role, requiring constant communication and iteration with your peers, especially in product management and engineering. You will utilize a combination of deep systems thinking along with interaction design, content creation and research when needed. Bring your teammates along with the right strategic thinking, data insights and design approaches.

Your background includes:

  • 7+ years as an end-to-end product designer building consumer products.
  • Experience conducting user research, building user journey maps, user flows, wireframes and lo-fi to hi-fi design concepts
  • An excellent sense of product strategy and how it relates to both user experience and business needs
  • Experience working with product, engineering, data, marketing, and brand teams as well as a commitment to collaboration
  • Proven ability to solve ambiguous and complex problems with simple, elegant, human centered solutions
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter who can effectively prioritize and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong presence and communication; ability to succinctly present your design decisions and process
  • Highly proficient with design tools and interactive prototyping tools.
  • Experience with delivering 0-1 products from concept stages to launch
  • Experience creating a consumer brand including being able to capture the tone, feel and essence of your target market through digital mediums.
  • Experience designing mobile (iOS and Android) preferred
  • Brand and performance marketing experience preferred

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $101,000 - $206,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
